Chief Consumer & Strategy Officer, Channel 4
Sarah was appointed to the new post of Chief Consumer & Strategy Officer in March 2018. The role brings together Channel 4’s strategy, audience and commercial research teams, as well as data science.
Before this Sarah was Director of Consumer Insight, responsible for the broadcaster’s award-winning data strategy and transforming the way viewer data and insight is used to inspire new ideas and maximise Channel 4’s competitive edge as one of UK’s leading commercial public service broadcasters.
Sarah joined Channel 4 in 2006 as Head of VOD and Channel Development where she oversaw the launch of the ground-breaking 4OD service, now All 4. In 2010 she became Director of Commercial and Business Development where she was responsible for all non-ad sales revenues including Distribution, Secondary Sales, DVD and most recently the Commercial Growth Fund and All4 Games.
Before joining Channel 4, Sarah was at ITV for ten years where she started as a Graduate Management Trainee, rising to General Manager, ITV Digital Channels.
Sarah graduated in English and French from Oxford in 1996. She lives in North London with her partner and two young children.
